This week o’ work is all about wining & dining the Euro-partners at the day job. Accordingly, we heeded the city’s culinary call, starting South of the Border tonight at Dos Caminos Park. Part of the B.R. Guest chain, Dos Caminos is swanky, sexy & oh so satisfying. We began, as you must, with the tasty table-side guacamole served with the perfect accompaniment, a pomegranate margarita with blueberries on top. A cousin to the equally fabulous frozen (but slightly sweeter) version available at the competition, Rosa Mexicano, this drink is light, refreshing & readily requires refilling. If only they poured it straight from sangria pitchers!
I noshed on the (mighty & endangered no more, I hope) Chilean Sea Bass, bathed in a red sauce, that melts in your mouth like buttah. We had no room for dessert & called it quits early given the school-night situation that is a Tuesday. But, grab yourself some friends & pucker up for the pom-grenades as we like to call ’em. You won’t be sorry or sober!
A Very Sleepy Pixie
P.S. See here for all the pluses of the pomegranate plant. It might just be a miracle food to boot!
