While I appreciate the spirit behind the “Think Pink” Breast Cancer awareness campaign, I personally didn’t feel like it this October. In fact, each time I saw a light pink mixer or nail file or flip-flops, I’d crinkle my nose & think, “Ugh.” I’m sure much money is raised & that it goes to good causes, several of which I’m probably personally & indefinitely indebted to as well. Maybe I had to be overly-aware once & that’s my problem? I don’t want to be a cynical survivor but it just seems a little too tic-tacky?

Pixie that I am, I’m more interested in stopping angst, unhappiness & the trashing of our human & planetary treasures. God bless the researchers out there coming up with a cure for everything. How about putting our heads together to stop accepting that the spread of depression & disease are inevitable for Earthlings? I know this is no quick fix but that’s my mission & I’m sticking to it!
Here’s a funny look at the issue from my dear RubyShooz. She & her pink post are priceless:

But, if you really, really want to Think Pink, here’s a site to increase consumer consciousness first:

But, ladies, all the ladies, louder now, help me out: PLEASE be good to your girls & check them regularly. Push for mammograms & follow-ups even if you’re a youngin’ like moi.
