We were given an assignment yesterday at Unity. As it’s such a good one, I thought you might like to try it, too. Here goes:

1) Start with the following affirmation:

“I deserve the best that God (Source, The Universe, or whatever word works for you) has waiting for me.”

2) Picture what your ideal existence looks like, down to the smallest detail. Be sure to include everything from living situation to love life in there. & don’t forget to dream bigger than you’ve ever imagined here, people, as we’re talking THE BEST!

3) For one week, embody this new reality. Walk around being & feeling (in addition to your own list):

  • completely healthy
  • ridiculously rich
  • living in the lap of love

As far as homework goes, it ain’t so bad, eh? If you need a bit more incentive, I offer you this: It’s not even 8 a.m. & I’ve already had a magical moment with a hot guy on the train!

Wanna give it a whirl with me?

    On Purpose 31 December 2007

On this New Year’s Eve, I’ve got just one question for you: Are you living on purpose, people?

I attended Unity’s Kwanzaa extravaganza yesterday & learned that the word Nia means “purpose.” By knowing your Nia & working towards it, life can become that much more fulfilling for you. This message dovetailed perfectly with the point of the book I just finished entitled The Science of Being Great by Wallace D. Wattles. Originally published in 1911, the book is a short, simple plan for achieving personal power & tapping into individual greatness. Wattles explains in easy, logical language ways to awaken your inner Abraham Lincoln & avoid the Napoleon complex completely.

    The book reveals:

    • the simple secret to greatness for everyone, regardless of heredity or opportunity
    • why life naturally favors & assists our progress
    • the overlooked, ever-flowing source of our personal power
    • the vital need to form a central conception of yourself

Your purpose & mine, according to Wattles, is to “give expression to what he (God) is trying to give the world, through you….(Like the) little boy at the piano, the music in whose soul could not find expression through his untrained hands…The spirit is seeking to do great things with us, as soon as we will train our hands & feet, our minds, brains, & bodies.”

In the coming year, I’d ask each of you to search your soul to know your Nia. Find your own purpose & potential for greatness, as it’s in there. The planet & this Pixie can’t wait to see you shine! Like someone at PostSecret said,

    Knocked Up 17 December 2007

According to Marianne Willamson, we’re all pregnant with possibility, especially at Christmas. I heard Marianne speak yesterday at Unity & ’twas reason this season to be jolly indeed! More than a simple sermon, Marianne led a call to action, challenging each of us to give birth to the potential gestating inside.

She laid out a metaphysical metaphor, with Mary standing for the mothering, creative part of each person. Doing so, Marianne implored us not to abort the process of giving life to our greatness, as is often the fearful human way. She went on to say that the “Angels heard on high” represent our own inner voice, foretelling of an incredible idea incubating inside. The baby Jesus is a symbol for that potential brought fully into form. Fragile at first, our creation requires time & attention to grow so we have Joseph, standing steady nearby, to play the practical, masculine part.

Marianne remarked that God will use me & he’ll use you for something extraordinary if we listen & let him. So often we create our own glass ceiling with a bunch of buts. Adding, “the data collection is done, people,” Marianne incited us all to stop stalling & do it now. She reminded us that we’re equipped enough already (with technology & money) & cautioned that we cannot afford to say the next generation will take care of saving our endangered Earth.

Marianne ended by encouraging us to motivate each other to start shining in the now. I know that I gotta do it my way, as no one else possibly can, & so do you. So, pregnant party-people, are you ready to pop out your potential this Christmas? If so, please join me in saying, in the words of the lovely & talented Ms. Williamson, “This planet ain’t seen nothing yet!”

While I won’t be in Seattle sitting across from sweet, small faces this year, I will be “home” for the holiday. I emerged from the subway station tonight, feeling a little lonely but that didn’t last long. Looking up at the art deco buildings and down the tree-lined street that runs through my new neighborhood, the gratitude welled up in my heart. “I’m happier than I’ve even been in my life,” I said to myself, picking up the pace. I bounded towards the local corner store and once inside, exchanged hellos with the hot Dominican dude stocking the shelves. Nope, there’s no place I’d rather be.

I’ll miss Pixiepa’s annual “Gratitude Assignment,” though, and wonder tonight what it’ll be this year. So far, we’ve all named one (yes, one, Mark) inanimate object, teacher, neighbor and extended relative for which we are eternally grateful. I still think about you, dear fireplace, and hope your crackle’s keeping another girl warm this year.

For now, I’ll answer with a long list of things I am especially thankful for today:

    1. the various visitors I’ve had here and in my home. Ya’ll come back now, ya hear!
    2. Joanna flying from London to teach me that VPL’s short for “visible panty line” and nobody needs to live with that
    3. the Unity “Artist of My Soul” summer retreat for another amazing before/after line in my life
    4. my 6-tit Circle in Seattle and now here in NYC. Where would I be without you?
    5. my angel, Betsy, and her unending honesty, inspiration and insight. Intimacy is ours indeed!
    6. my family for missing me but knowing I’m right where I belong. Your enthusiasm makes it magical to be so far away
    7. for my girls, Sarah and Melisa, whose growing is showing in spectacular splendor
    8. and for Jackie and Michael, special souls I was supposed to know

There are plenty more, but the Pixie loves her #8 so shall stop right there. I’m cooking away for tomorrow and couldn’t ask for better boys to spend T-Day with this year. I hope Pixiepa calls to play me his radio gobbling, circa 1986. But if not, I’m pretty sure I remember all the words.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and blessings for family, fun and flying as high as possible. And remember,

As I’m learning in my latest educational exploration, 4Ts, all the good I need is lined up, ready & waiting for me to feel worthy of it being broughten. I know, I know, this is not the easiest pill to swallow for most of us, as who wants to think it’s their “fault” for being poor of spirit, spending money or, God forbid, sex? Not me! But since I’ve sheriously started shifting my shit around, business is booming in all the bureaus.

Ironically, yesterday, the day I headed out to 4Ts at Unity, everyone (on the Internet anyway) seemed in agreement. Here’s what I got, in back to back email updates:

Actually, Jennifer, it’s not that you want stuff that you don’t have, but that you want stuff that you think you don’t have. And the best way to change this is to begin thinking that you have it.

    Purposeful Prosperity
Pisces Daily Horoscope – You may find you excel at everything you do today, whether your day’s tasks involve professional responsibilities or domestic duties. Consequently, you will likely feel quite prosperous as well as sure of yourself where your abilities are concerned. Capitalizing on these pleasurable feelings may involve channeling them into self-trust so that you can further your efforts without doubting your capacity to handle the changes that take place as a result. Your purpose will no doubt be as clear to you today as it has ever been, but your potential may be heightened by your willingness to see yourself as someone who is destined for success.

When we view our growing prosperity as a sign that we are on the right track, we can continue forward confident that we are doing all we can to realize the purpose designated for us long before our birth. Many people have learned to doubt themselves so severely that they find it nearly impossible to break the cycle of uncertainty, even when their lives are unfolding in a positive and fulfilling fashion. It is important that we allow ourselves to draw encouragement from our successes, as it is these that will contribute greatly to our level of confidence and drive. We tend to be far more enthusiastic where our prospects are concerned when we believe that we are capable of achieving great feats of strength, intelligence, and endurance. The fact that you are excelling at work and at home today should be seen as a sign that you are making the right choices.

The 4Ts may not be for everyone – as it’s a pretty potent program for prosperity – but this Pixie’s ready to move on up. Watch out, George & Weezie, cuz I’m making it look easy!

Here’s a poem I shared last night that popped out in my magical Mexican shower stall:

    I AM PROSPEROUS

    I am prosperous.

    I am prosperous.

I am prosperous, got blessings galore,

Got all kinds of good showing up at my door.

Thanks to Stretton and Britt, my mind’s not the same,

No more playing that tired “poor old me” game.

There’s fortune and fame and love all around,

I’m up to go get the bounty I’ve found.

God in me guides my soul to the love,

My coat of new consciousness fits like a glove.

This Pixie is prosperous, published and free,

Do you see all this substance coming to be?

I’ve prayed and I’ve prayed with all of my breath.

With pleasure I measure my treasure, chest

    held high to the sky.

    Caterpillar no more,

    I’ve learned how to fly.

    buttefly.jpg

Say it with me people, “I AM PROSPEROUS” & so you are!
